A nine-page prosecution brief unsealed April 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court alleges that David Burke, 21, known professionally as D4vd, first met Celeste Rivas Hernandez when she was 11 years old and began a sexual relationship with her when she was 13. When sheriff's deputies contacted Burke in early 2024 after she was reported missing, he told them he had only met her once and didn't know her age. After she returned home and her parents took her phone, prosecutors allege Burke drove 80 miles to Lake Elsinore and paid a friend $1,000 to give her a new one so they could keep communicating. The two traveled together to Las Vegas, London, and Texas — where she met his family.

The newly released documents allege that in April 2025, Rivas Hernandez threatened to expose their relationship and destroy Burke's career. Prosecutors say he sent a rideshare car to bring her from Lake Elsinore to his Hollywood Hills home on the night of April 23. She was stabbed multiple times. In details not previously made public, Burke allegedly used a fake name to order two chainsaws, body bags, and an inflatable pool from Amazon, then dismembered her body in his garage — where her DNA was later recovered. Her remains decomposed in the front trunk of his Tesla for weeks or months before the vehicle was towed and her body discovered in September 2025.
