Disney revealed its most detailed look yet at Piston Peak National Park at D23 — the Cars-themed land replacing Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom — and the headline is the ride technology behind its primary attraction. Cars Ridge Run Rally sends guests up a snow-capped mountain, through a camelback descent, and around a geyser field in vehicles specifically engineered to physically react to the terrain beneath them. Not simulate it. React to it. Guests will feel every bump, drop, and rock for real, in a ride format Disney has not used before.
The second attraction, Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along, is a family-friendly spinning ride anchored by a school-bus-sized animatronic of Miss Fritter from Cars 3, hosting her own demolition derby.
