IS THE DRAFT COMING BACK?

In December, every American male between 18 and 26 will be automatically registered for the military draft — no form required, no opt-out. Trump signed it into law in the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act. The government will pull names from DMV records, tax filings, immigration databases, and universities. Green card holders, refugees, asylum seekers, and undocumented men are included.

There is no draft yet. But when Fox News asked the White House if one was coming, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump "does not remove options off of the table." The US is actively at war with Iran. Barron Trump, 20, is now draft-eligible. His father avoided Vietnam with a bone spurs diagnosis. People have noticed.

Registration and conscription are different things. The gap between them has never felt smaller.
